What to Eat in Puerto Vallarta!

cover

Dining in Vallarta is a true celebration, with over 400 options of excellent restaurants
offering a wide variety of cuisine and atmospheres.
Seafood is the specialty in most establishments, with highlights including grilled red
snapper and shrimp or lobster cocktails among the typical dishes.
The gastronomy in this destination is itself an attraction. Renowned international
chefs have transformed traditional dishes into authentic gourmet delights.
Among the typical dishes of Puerto Vallarta, the “Pescado Embarazado” stands out.
It consists of pieces of shark or marlin marinated in lime, grilled over coals, and
served with Huichol sauce. A variation of this dish replaces the fish with shrimp.
Other flavors to enjoy in Vallarta include fish ceviche, shrimp pozole, and “pescado
zarandeado.”
Additionally, you can taste some of the regional specialties such as pozole, drowned
sandwiches, or birria, accompanied, of course, by the typical drink of Jalisco: tequila.
